Policy Changes

Both the text and the mapping take account of the Direction of the Secretary of State on 18 September 2007 which “saved” most policies of the Lancaster District Local Plan until they are replaced by subsequent Development Plan Documents.  The text and mapping also take account of the adoption of the Lancaster District Core Strategy; some of the policies of the Lancaster District Local Plan are wholly replaced or partially replaced by the Core Strategy.  Please be aware that the Proposals Map has not otherwise been updated.

Policies which have not been Saved or which have been wholly replaced are shown with strike through text.  These policies no longer form part of the development plan for Lancaster District and, where possible, annotations have been removed from the on-line Proposals Map.  Policies which have been partially replaced are shown with dashed underlined text.

Note
This interactive version of the Adopted Lancaster District Local Plan Proposals Map with linked policies and proposals is made available for information purposes only. Whilst every effort has been made to ensure that the information contained is accurate, the definitive Adopted Lancaster District Local Plan Written Statement and Proposals Map remains that printed and published by Lancaster City Council in 2004.  Please contact the City Council’s Planning Policy team fro further information on the status of policies and allocations shown on the proposals Map.
