IMPORTANT SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT

Changes to bus services (updated 9th April 2021)

Bus operators are changing their services to meet demand and ensure people can make essential journeys.  This includes changes to ensure children can get back to school safely.

In addition to normal school services, operators are providing extra journeys with the route number ending in ‘S’ that will only be available to school children and college students.  These new measures follow the latest guidance from the Department for Education and the Department for Transport, covering both dedicated school transport and public bus services.

Information on service changes for each bus operator is provided below. Please note that all services will continue to be monitored in line with demand and ongoing advice from the government and public health bodies.

The revised timetables are currently being processed for use in displays and journey planner. Until this is complete, please check with the bus operator for revised journey times.

Please note that everyone (unless exempt) must now wear a face covering when travelling by public transport in England.  The Government’s Coronavirus (COVID-19): safer travel guidance for passengers is available here www.gov.uk/guidance/coronavirus-covid-19-safer-travel-guidance-for-passengers#face-coverings

If you have any concerns about travelling on buses, please contact the relevant bus operator.
