The interactive public transport map works in all HTML5 compatible browsers including Chrome, Opera, Firefox, Safari and Internet Explorer (10 and above).

If you can’t access the interactive map there are also PDFs of the County map and town maps.

Current disruption information

• Deerness Bridge Closure

Deerness Bridge will be closed to all traffic on the 15th & 16th November 2017

Scarlet Band Service 47 which normally operates the section between New Brancepeth and Ushaw Moor - will terminate at New Brancepeth. The rest of the service around Brandon/Langley Moor will operate to the normal timetable.

Arriva Service 48 which normally operates between Durham and New Brancepeth will terminate at Ushaw Moor Estate. The rest of the service between Durham and Ushaw Moor will operate to the normal timetable.

The direct transport links which are lost are:
• New Brancepeth – Ushaw Moor/Bearpark (and reverse).
• New Brancepth to Durham (and reverse)

On Wed 15th – Thurs 16th, a special free shuttle bus operated by Stanley Travel, will maintain the above links. The service will operate between the hours of 07:00 – 23:45 each day as follows:
• Depart New Brancepth Club at ’05 & ’35 mins. past each hour.
• Depart Ushaw Moor Flass Inn at ’19 & ’49 mins. past each hour.

Passengers travelling between New Brancepeth and Durham are advised to use the special service to connect with other services at Langley Moor.

Passengers travelling from New Brancepeth to Bearpark are advised to connect with Arriva service 48 at Ushaw Moor Flass Inn.

Passengers from Bearpark to New Brancepeth should connect at Valley View (Gymnastics Centre).

In addition, Durham County Council is liaising with Durham Community Business College with regards to transporting pupils from New Brancepth.

• Lumiere
- The UK's largest light festival

16th-19th November 2017

During Lumiere the following roads will be closed to traffic from 2pm each day.
• North Road (below bus station exit)
• Milburngate
• Claypath

Services from North Road bus stops will use temporary stops on the opposite side of the road (Bethel Chapel); with the exception of Go North East's 13 and 14 which will depart from the Bus Station Stand A.

All services from North Road bus stops will use temporary stops on the opposite side of the road (Bethel Chapel) ALL DAY. Services operating from North Road WILL NOT SERVE MILBURNGATE at all during Lumiere.

Go North East's services 13 and 14 will depart from the Bus Station (Stand A) ALL DAY during Lumiere. 

From 2pm, ALL SERVICES will exit North Road via the roundabout and then make their way back to their normal service route omitting Milburngate and Claypath.

Buses which use Claypath bus stops will depart from Leazes Road Underpass instead. More detailed information will be posted at each location.
