Chester District Adopted Local Plan

 

The Chester District Local Plan was adopted by the Council on 12 May 2006. It sets out the Council's policies for development and the use of land in the District between the period 1996 to 2011.

The Plan is written to reflect national, regional and strategic policies. It provides, along with the Regional Spatial Strategy, the statutory framework within which decisions on planning applications are made.

ANCV (Area of Nature Conservation Value) and SNCV (Site of Nature Conservation Value) data is mapped to an approximate accuracy of 1:10,000.

SBI (Site of Biological Importance) data is supplied by Cheshire County Council and is mapped to an approximate accuracy of 1:10,000.

SSSI (Site of Scientific Interest) data is supplied by Natural England and is mapped to an approximate accuracy of 1:10,000.

Conservation Areas are kept under continual review. Please contact the Council’s Conservation Team to find out what reviews are currently being undertaken and what changes may have been made to Conservation Area Boundaries since the Plan’s publication.
